Mens Open - Sunday 3rd July
A great turnout for the Men’s Open, 160 players from 16 clubs across South Wales came to Cradoc on Sunday and they couldn’t have had a better day. The weather was superb with sunshine all day and nothing more than a little breeze to contend with; with the course in superb condition also the scores were destined to be promising.
The overall winner came from one of the early starters, Dane Clancy, who returned a gross 72 (1 over Par) which playing off a handicap of 7, meant he came in with 42 points - a fine knock by any standards! Dane's back nine of 21 points claimed the title on countback from M Edmonds (Pontypridd).
Other notable scores include Craig Samuel (Cradoc) with 40 points, Rod Jones (Monmouthshire) with 38 points and M Edmonds (Pontypridd) with 42 points who all won their individual handicap categories.
We hope everyone enjoyed their day and we look forward to seeing you for our other Open Competitions, entry is available online at: http://cradoc.co.uk/upcoming-events-at-cradoc/dates-for-the-diary/cradoc-open-events.html
