Cradoc ladies produce good golf, good company and a good deed.
On Saturday 20th October in glorious sunshine with the temperature well above the norm for October, the ladies’ changing room was full of excitement.
It was Pink Bow Day in the ladies’ calendar when the ladies of the club donate money raised for a Breast Cancer charity.
Twenty four ladies, and Mr Blobby, met in the changing room with great anticipation for the draw. Eight teams consisting of three players went out in excellent conditions to test their golf skills determined to have victory over their friends and fellow golfers. The format on this occasion was best two scores only to count.
After twelve holes of golf the scores were very close, with three teams being placed equal second on points, but the winning team by three points were the team of Pam Rooza, Jan Williams and Jan Watkins.
The golf was only part of the day however, because after playing all the ladies congregated in the clubhouse to discuss their golf - the good shots, the well played holes, as well as the less successful holes!! Here a raffle was held and every lady went home with a prize after a very enjoyable afternoon.
The event, one of many charity events, raised a total of £300 which will help people less fortunate. A very successful day.
